in the afternoon of september 22th, the meeting for technical cooperation of gqmt stainless steel deep processing project was successfully held at the conference room of the science & technology hall, wisdri engineering & research incorporation limited. xiang mingwu, the secretary of party committee and chairman of wisdri, zang zhonghai, the deputy party secretary of party committee and general manager of wisdri, sun min, the executive vice president of china first heavy industries (cfhi), lin xiamiao, the chairman of gqmt, and other relevant executives attended the meeting.
the meeting was hosted by zang zhonghai. he extended a warm welcome to the leaders of cfhi and gqmt. sun min delivered a speech at the inception. he made a detailed introduction of the development of cfhi in machinery equipment and other industries. he pointed out that the gqmt 1780 stainless steel hot continuous rolling mill cooperation project was the third stainless steel 1780mm hot rolling project undertaken by cfhi after fujian tsingtuo 1780mm hot rolling line and the indonesia gqmt nickel industry 1780mm hot rolling line, and also the first stainless steel hot rolling mill project manufactured in cooperation with wisdri. he said that the successful signing and implementation of the project was the crystallization of the three parties’ cooperation, which was bound to become a model project for the future development of gqmt.
subsequently, lin xiamiao made a speech. she briefly introduced the basic situation of gqmt and expressed her sincere gratitude to who had given care and help in the hot rolling project planning for many years. she pointed out, “wisdri is a well-known companyt with a long history and leading technology in the metallurgical industry, as well as a collection of research and development, engineering consulting, engineering design, project management experience and perfect service system. cfhi represents the highest level of china’s heavy equipment manufacturing industry. it is china’s largest heavy machinery manufacturing group with the strongest technical capacity and the most advanced equipment which possesses a good reputation at home and abroad. we believe that gqmt will realize the dream of high-end stainless-steel production through the cooperation with these two domestic leading enterprises in steel construction industry.” she said the launch of gqmt stainless steel hot rolling project would trigger a cluster effect to attract cold rolling projects and downstream processing stainless steel projects to develop in yangjiang and to connect with the traditional hardware and cultery industry in yangjiang with thesurrounding areas, so as to form a complete industrial chain from lateritic ore smelting to stainless steel products processing, further promoting the local economic development, and establishing china’s famous high-end stainless steel industry base in yangjiang. she hoped that the partners would make scientific planning, carry out meticulous construction, develop a close cooperation, and finally deliver a stainless steel hot rolling production line with high starting point, high efficiency and high quality as scheduled, thus creating a quality project and making new contributions to the development of china’s stainless steel industry.
in the end, the three parties held a signing ceremony for the technical cooperation of gqmt stainless steel deep processing project. gqmt and wisdri, wisdri and cfhi signed cooperation agreements with each other, marking the complete start of gqmt stainless steel deep processing technology transformation project, of which would be completed and put into production in january 2019.
